Kollaborate Server 3.7 B5 - Sep 18 2023

This is a pre-release version of Kollaborate Server 3.7.

Please see previous betas for a full list of changes from 3.6.x.

Be aware that we're now using MariaDB instead of MySQL and that the Docker image is configured to convert the database to your MariaDB version automatically. As such, we would recommend backing up the database before upgrading as you may be unable to downgrade otherwise.

Changes in this version:

• Admin - When adding a user, their last name is now optional
• Admin - Allow site admins to view all users' profiles and access user stats
• Admin - My Private Files can now be disabled from the Configure page of the admin area
• Admin - Support for suspending users
• Comments - Project admins can now delete all comments for a file from the player page
• Share - Show all links for a particular file by clicking the file name on the Share page. Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click on Mac) to launch the player for the file
• Tasks - Show all tasks for a particular file by clicking the file name on the Tasks page. Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click on Mac) to launch the player for the file
• Import Comments - Support for getting the author name from the file if supported by the format
• Import Comments - Added the ability to map timecode, author and comment to specific columns within a CSV
• Admin Dashboard - Fixed an issue where deleted projects could not be cleared
• Admin - Fixed an issue where default strings in database dumps would be incorrectly quoted
• Files - Fixed an issue where departments wouldn't show a value in the Date column
• Player - Don't show the "file needs converting" banner unnecessarily
• Player - Fixed an issue where HTML content in the Description field may not render correctly
• Player - Fixed a layout issue if comments are disabled but the file needs approval
• Users - Fixed an issue where a user could be added to the wrong project if another one was loaded in a different tab
• Workflows - Fixed an issue where workflow edit page would not show the correct status of the "allow comments" option
• Projects - Fixed an issue where it would take you to My Private Files after creating a project instead of the newly-created project
• Projects - Fixed an issue where apostrophes would not be displayed correctly in project titles
• Files - Fixed an issue that could prevent folders being downloaded
• Quick Share - Improved UI if sharing fails
• Tasks - Fixed an issue where it could sometimes show a random file on the Tasks page if no file was assigned to a task
• Upgraded several third-party packages for better PHP 8.1 compatibility
• Various minor UI tweaks
• Various code modernizations and overhauls
